Beginning at the top of the Ogden Canyon, this moderate 9.2 mile loop features a year-round stream perfect for hikers, mountain bikers, snowshoers, equestrians, and dog lovers. The canyon offers scenic views of high cliffs and plenty of greenery. The hike begins with 2 miles of shaded terrain with a wide section of trail following a stream. This portion can be used as a simple out-and-back trail. It then connects to either Maples or Icebox trails, so watch the signage closely. Following Icebox signage will take you the full 9.2 mile loop. Incredible views, wildlife sighting opportunities, and 1,587 feet of elevation gain make this hike a must-do. Be sure to bring plenty of water as the trail gets less shaded and hot after the first 2 miles.
