Liberty Days

Folks here are patriotic and love to celebrate their rural roots. If you’re looking to come together with friends and family, laugh and play games, maybe partake in a pig chase or watch your kids try to catch fish with their bare hands before you lay out your blanket for an incredible firework show, you won’t want to miss this 4th of July in Ogden Valley event.

Festivities:

• Pancake Breakfast
• Flag Ceremony & Anthem
• Parade —  A lot of do-it-yourself style floats and celebration of local community.
• Arena Games — Have you heard of Mutton Bustin’? Children wait their turn for a chance to hang on for dear life as a sheep runs like crazy trying to get them off their back. Enthusiasts will tell you all kids last less than 8 seconds and don’t do any harm to the sheep. They also wear helmets and safety vests- the kids, not the sheep. That’s not all, there’s also Chicken Catch and Pig Chase!
• Park Games — Classics like Tug-O-War, Three-Legged Races, Cake Walk, Horse Shoes, game booths, bounce houses, slides, volleyball, and more.
• Fish Catch — We’re sure you can imagine the silly chaos that ensues when you combine kids, slippery fish and knee deep water. But just incase you can’t, don’t miss your chance to see it in real life.
• BBQ Dinner
• Dancing & Music
• Fireworks

Huntsville Town

This 4th of July in Ogden Valley event is a little more traditional than Liberty Days. There’s nothing like the small town pride of a close-knit community. You may not get to chase after farm animals but there is a hometown family fun run that is less about competition and more about having a good time, an exuberant car show to see, live music, good food, dancing and of course, fireworks.
