Weber County Moving to “Yellow” Risk Phase

This summary lists only changes for the most frequently asked about business and services, for the full guidance see the Phased Guidelines. Business and the general public should follow the Phased Guidelines for Moderate with the following changes.

Social Guidelines
• Private social interactions that occur without oversight by a formal organization increased to
group of 50.

Restaurants, Food Service, Bars, Food Trucks, Convenience Stores
• No Changes.

Daycare
• Removes requirement for curbside drop-off and pickup.
• Removes the restriction on groups of 20 and encourages children from the same household to
be kept in the same group whenever possible.
• Restricts offsite activities to only places where social distancing and proper cleaning can be
controlled.

Children, including Playgrounds
• Playground equipment allowed with 6 ft. distance maintained.

Outdoor Recreation Youth Outdoor Sports, including Parks, Playgrounds, Pavilions, Parades
• Recreation camps may operate in accordance with existing policy and health guidelines.
• Recreational vehicle parks may operate in accordance with existing policy and health guidelines.
• Roadway rest areas may open.
• Restriction on sporting activities requiring opponents to be closer than 10 feet has been changed to “Exhibit caution when engaging in close-contact or team sports”.
• Participants should have symptoms checked.
• Limited spectators now allowed with social distancing.
• Distributing promotional items, candy, food items, etc. during spectator events must be done in a manner that does not encourage congregating.

Pools, Water Parks, Spas
• All pools now allowed to open at a capacity that enables 6 feet social distancing both in the water and on the deck.
• Swim team and swim lessons now allowed as long as social distancing can be maintained on pool deck.

Hospitality, Tourism and Accommodations
• Relaxes some recommendations for decreasing housekeeping services during patron stay, recommending that rooms to stay vacant before cleaning and providing sanitizing supplies to guests.
• Face coverings worn in settings where social distance is difficult to maintain.

Events, Cultural Arts and Entertainment
• No temporary mass gatherings as defined in R392-400.
• Event size can exceed 50 individuals if organizational oversight can be provided that ensures guidelines are followed.
• Distributing promotional items, candy, food items, etc. during spectator events must be done in a manner that does not encourage congregating.

Personal Services
• No changes.

Retail, including Grocery, Pharmacy and Convenience Stores
• Resume to normal patron capacity if social distancing can be maintained.
• Face coverings worn for interactions that take place within a 6 foot distance.
• Customers may bring their own bags if store allows it.

Gyms and Fitness Centers (indoor recreation, yoga, dance studios, tumbling, indoor sports)
• Screening patrons for symptoms upon entry is not required. Still required for close-contact or team sports.
• Restrictions on touchless or sign-in sheets for entry removed.
• Recommendation that high-risk individuals not use facilities is removed.
• Chemical disinfectant supplies available for cleaning equipment after use. Requirement that staff disinfect the equipment is removed.
• Spectators allowed with social distancing.

Driver’s Education specifically on Range and Roads
• This is a new section. Refer to phased guidelines V4.3 for all guidance.

K-12 Schools
• Schools are open with increased cleaning and hygiene regimen. See phased guidelines for all requirements.

Church Services
• No changes.
