Snowshoeing in the Valley is a great winter activity that doesn’t break the bank. Renting or buying snowshoes is relatively easy and most places have them available for around $20.
North Fork Park offers many winter time activities such as cross-country skiing, fat tire biking, and snowshoeing. The organization is a non-profit and the $3 fee to use the trails goes towards equipment and upkeep. Snowshoes are available to rent for $10 each day and the park has regularly groomed trails for skiing and biking.
Snowbasin’s beautiful mountain features 26 miles of hiking and biking trails that connect to 25 miles of forest service trails for over 50 miles of epic trails that are perfect for snowshoeing. We highly recommend snowshoeing up Wheeler Canyon where the wide trails and epic snow-covered canyon walls are a sight to see. Rentals are available in the Grizzly Center for $18 per day.
Wolf Creek Resort has a few different areas to explore on snowshoes with a new addition called “The Bridges”. The Adventure Center offers snowshoe rentals for $18 each day and those who stay in a Wolf Creek Rental can strap up and walk right out of the front door to trek the golf course!
There’s tons of other trails throughout the Ogden Valley, so feel free to explore outside of these suggestions. You can see other trails we love here.
