6:00 pm – 9:00 pm
October’s Dining Discovery at Snowbasin will take you back to the east coast for a traditional New England Clam Bake with some additional Snowbasin flair. A New England clambake is a traditional method of cooking seafood, such as lobster, mussels, crabs, soft-shell clams, and quahogs. The food is traditionally cooked by steaming the ingredients over layers of seaweed. The shellfish will be supplemented with vegetables, such as onions, carrots, red potatoes, and corn on the cob. Adding the Snowbasin touch, there will be a firepit with Gambel oak and local granite rocks; then the ingredients are buried in layers of seaweed, wet burlap, and sand. As the coals of the Gambel oak burn, they slowly smoke and steam the ingredients along with granite rocks to create steam from the wet burlap and the salted seaweed. Before the meal, all the items will be dug up, placed in piles and then served for your pleasure. While everyone dines there will be live music from the Roadside Ramblers. There will also be a full bar with beverages available for purchase.
Price: $75 for food – $85 includes food and one specialty cocktail that can be made non-alcoholic.
Reservations are mandatory and can be made by calling 801-620-1021.
Parties of 6 or more will be levied an 18% service charge.
