Ogden Friends of Acoustic Music (OFOAM) is pleased to announce the world premiere of Jens Kruger’s Crossroads Ogden, a symphonic piece for The Kruger Brothers with full orchestra and dance, on November 2, 2019 at Peery’s Egyptian Theater. OFOAM commissioned the noted modern American Composer Jens to write the piece for and about Ogden and its unique history. Crossroads Ogden is an historic event for OFOAM and for the City of Ogden at the culmination of a yearlong calendar of events marking the completion of the Transcontinental Railroad. OFOAM is proud to bring The Kruger Brothers back to Ogden for the fourth time and asked Jens to write the reflective piece which will bring artists together in creative and collaborative ways. OFOAM is partnering with Chamber Orchestra Ogden, conducted by Michael Palumbo, and Imagine Ballet Theatre, with original choreography by Raymond Van Mason, for this groundbreaking world premiere event. This provides Ogden with a piece to call its own, a new and innovative work evoking the rich culture and history of the town.
