The 2020 BANFF Mountain Film Festival will take place from February 14 through February 16th with three nights of awe-inspiring films. Pair this with an organic wine from Tuscany called “When We Dance” made from blackberries, figs, cherries, and herbs (or a house cocktail) for the perfect palette cleanser. Ready for something a little more adventurous than dinner and a movie this Valentine’s Day? Grab your partner and head for the mountains for a little winter hiking. Being in a valley has some advantages, such as the wickedly fun sledding hills throughout the area. The Art Nord trailhead has terrain that’s terrific for sledding and tubing. At the end of Old Snowbasin Road is the easily accessible hill of a lifetime. It may be a bit of a hike back to the top, but the ride down is exhilarating. Nordic Valley Ski Resort has a nearby tubing hill, and though it includes a fee, the towing cable makes it well worth it. Trapper’s Loop is a favorite among locals, the hill practically rises to the sky just minutes from our Huntsville, Utah lodging.
After a weekend full of food, fun, and romance, settle into a home away from home. Snuggle by the fireplace or soothe sore muscles in a private hot tub.
